Hi, Who ever posted this recipe... Gajar ka halwa turns out to smell of raw carrot if u cook in milk(and it needs to be cooked for a very long time also). It is better and quicker to first fry the grated carrot in ghee n add sugar and cardamom powder after some time fry it untill cooked and then slitly blend littele grated carrot with milk(thick without water) in a blender and add this to the fried carrot, cook for a while(add condensed milk if preffered). fry the dry raisins, nuts, pista, cashews(which ever dry fruita preffered) and garnish it on the cooked carrot mixture.
This is a quicker and tastier method of Carrot(Gajar) Halwa.

Hello, i just came out of my kitchen and made gajar ka halwa. Found you blog while browsing. And i made exactly the same way. I however used some more nuts and use carrots that are slightly red in colour, so that the colour of the halwa turns out good at the end, and is not orangish. I like it so.
